At the heart of Nashwauk Alliance is a passion for missions. It is our desire to see people sent out to the ends of the earth to tell others of the gospel message. To achieve that we do our best to do the following:
- Pray: We commit ourselves to praying for missions. This includes praying for missionaries, praying for unreached people groups, the training of leaders as well as praying for God to raise up missionaries from our own church. For more information about Alliance workers and missionaries around the world and tips on how to pray effectively for them click here.
- Give: We commit ourselves to giving. The primary means that the people of Nashwauk Alliance Church support missions financially is through the Great Commission Fund of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. This fund pools the resources of Alliance churches around the US to support one of the most effective mission programs in the world. You can earmark any gift for the Great Commission Fund and drop it in the offering plate on Sunday. The donation will be sent to the district's mission office for dispersement.
- Go: We commit ourselves to going. It may be a short term missions trip through the Alliance or Harvest Ministries (run by Joel Nelson, a C&MA pastor and close friend of Nashwauk Alliance) or a longterm commitment overseas, but whatever it is, we are committed to following the Lord wherever in the world he chooses to send us.
- Send: We commit ourselves to sending. When the Lord leads someone in our midst to become involved in missions by going themselves, we stand ready to be a support and encouragement as they go. This means praying, giving and meeting practical needs so that they can be our hands and feet somewhere else in the world.
To keep missions in the forefront of our minds, we host at least one Missions Conference each year and during our Sunday services, we frequently give updates from Alliance missionaries.
